Occasionally a Meyco Safety Cover will need repairsdue to accident, misuse, or other cause. Meyco Safety Covers can be repaired at our facilities by our trained operators. We can also repair most other manufacturer's covers. Sometimes changes to the pool configuration require that a cover be altered. These changes can usually be accomplished given sufficient information.

PROCEDURES FOR REPAIRS:

  • To ensure that your cover is in top shape for fall closing, plan to have your cover repaired immediately after opening your pool in the spring. Covers sent for repair after June 30 cannot be guaranteed to be returned before the fall closing time. Covers sent in later than August 1, can take several weeks to inspect and repair and may not be returned in time for your pool closing in September. Please consider this when sending in a repair.

  • Download the "Repair and Alteration Instructions" form from the DOWNLOADABLE FORMS AND WORKSHEETS link.

  • Call Meyco at 1 (800) 446 Ð 3926 and ask for a repair return number. Our customer service representative may ask you some questions about your cover at this time. You will be told which Meyco facility to return your cover to.

  • Complete the "Repair and Alteration Instructions"

  • Remove the springs from your cover.

  • Fold and package your cover and send it to Meyco with the form (most covers can be shipped by UPS)

  • Your cover will be thoroughly inspected, and you will be contacted with the price of repairs before any work is done. We will generally quote minimum required repairs so that your cover maintains its integrity as a safety cover, and will sometimes present options which may be merely cosmetic.

  • Upon your approval, your cover will be repaired and returned to you.

PROCEDURES FOR ALTERATIONS:

  • Alterations also are best accomplished during our slack manufacturing times (November to June), so try to plan accordingly.

  • Download the "Repair and Alteration Instructions" form from the DOWNLOADABLE FORMS AND WORKSHEETS link.

  • Call Meyco at 1 (800) 446 Ð 3926 and ask for an alteration return number. Our customer service representative may ask you some questions about your cover at this time. You will be told which Meyco facility to return your cover to.

  • Complete the "Repair and Alteration Instructions" and include a plan of your pool as it has been altered including current anchor locations. It is sometimes more accurate to mark necessary alterations directly on the cover with yellow "lumber crayon" before removing the cover from the pool.

  • Remove the springs from your cover.

  • Fold and package your cover and send it to Meyco with all information (most covers can be shipped by UPS)

  • Our design department will review your new plan and decide the proper alteration procedure.

  • You will be contacted for price approval before any work is done.

  • Upon your approval, your cover will be altered and returned to you.
